Bulk Export & Industrial Supply
CNSL Partners supplies technical, decanter, and distilled grades of cashew nut shell oil to manufacturers of resins, friction materials, coatings, and foundry chemicals — with consistent quality, documented specs, and dependable export logistics.
What Is CNSL
Cashew Nut Shell Oil (CNSL) is a dark, viscous liquid extracted from the shell of the cashew nut during processing. Rich in anacardic acid, cardol, and cardanol, it is a renewable alternative to petroleum-based phenols — used across friction, coatings, foundry, and specialty chemical industries.
As a by-product of cashew kernel processing, CNSL is an efficient, sustainable raw material: every batch we supply is sourced, filtered, and quality-checked before export.
Our Grades
| Grade | Description | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| Technical CNSL (Raw) | Unprocessed oil, directly from shell extraction | Furnace fuel, base feedstock for further processing |
| Decanter CNSL | Settled and filtered for reduced particulates | Resin manufacturing, friction dust, paints |
| Distilled CNSL (Cardanol-rich) | Vacuum-distilled to isolate cardanol fraction | Epoxy curing agents, surfactants, specialty resins |
Exact specification sheets (viscosity, acid value, moisture, polymer content) are available on request and vary by production batch — ask for the current Certificate of Analysis with your inquiry.
Applications
Brake linings, clutch facings, and friction dust formulations rely on CNSL-based resins for heat resistance and binding strength.
CNSL-derived resins provide water resistance, flexibility, and durability in industrial and marine coatings.
Used in core binders and foundry chemicals, valued for thermal stability during casting processes.
A phenolic substitute in laminating resins and specialty adhesives requiring natural-source chemistry.
Used as a plasticizer and processing aid in rubber compounding and polymer blends.
Raw CNSL serves as a cost-effective biofuel for industrial boilers and cashew processing furnaces.
Why CNSL Partners
